Maria and I travelled in July for ten days to Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York City. It was very important for us to get to know the city and its inhabitants - after Israel most of the Jews are living there. The first thing we got aware of were the kindness and helpfulness of the New York residents. We felt welcome there right from the beginning. People from more than 100 nations who looking for freedom gave this place a unique inspiration. Next to the common sights like the impressive Empire State Building or Ellis Island - the immigration island which is located offshore, among other things we were seeking for Jewish live there. We found East Village where after their immigration most of the Jews lived. In Midtown Manhattan we went to a small messianic congregation "Kehilat Ha Derek", leaded by Rav Ben Zion. We were happy to go there for two gatherings. In Brooklyn there were more liberal and reformed synagogues.

Most Jews we met (what wasn't easy) we had the feeling that they barely have or seeking for a relationship with the god of Israel not to mention to the state of Israel.

I feel that we've got a prayer concern for the Jews in the USA through this journey. God wants them too in His land as part of His people and He wants to be with them.
